Staining brings out the grain of real wood instead of covering it, and sealing protects it.

We paint, stain and seal decks and fences, and the same work extends to porch ceilings, cedar columns, doors and other exterior wood.

What products do you use?

It depends on the surface, the finish you want, and your budget. We review the recommended products with you, explain why they suit your project, and what to expect from the finish.

What is the difference between stain and sealer?

A sealer is a clear protective coat that guards wood against moisture; a stain adds pigment that colors the wood as it penetrates, and pigment itself helps protect against sun. That is why we stain and seal: the wood gets the color and the protection. Which products suit your deck or fence depends on the wood, its condition, and the look you want.
